The Arla cooperative is a global dairy company owned by 12,500 European dairy farmers. The owners are based in seven countries: Sweden, Denmark, UK, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
The company was formed in 1880 by farmers from Denmark and Sweden.
Arla foods is headquartered in Aarhus, Denmark.
Arla foods Amba have 37 different brands, however our three major brands are: Arla®, Lurpak®and Castello®.
Arla products are sold to consumers all over the world.
In the spring 2013 Arla brought back all their IT processes inhouse. This to optimize their processes and have better stirring and control.
When bringing processes inhouse, a company is often confronted with many different processes. These processes often needs to be optimized, and this is not done in one day. This challenge combined with new consultants from different companies can be difficult.
And all this while the company itself have been changing. The dairys have been increased giving new agreements and areas to the HR department and IT systems.
